draw in -- draw除了普遍熟知的"畫圖"意思, 還有類似pull "拉 吸引"的意思。這邊的用法同"draw attention"吸引注意力的意思。

smart mouth -- smart 其實除了普遍知曉的意思"聰明", 其實還有"刺痛"的意思呢, 例如"My face smarts from the slap" (那一巴掌臉好刺痛).

                        smart mouth 絕對不是聰明的發言!硬要說的話應該是"自以為聰明"才對!

kick sb out -- 跟中文意思一樣就是"踢出去" , 也可以當作拒絕啊叫人家走開啊用途。

pin sb/sth down -- "理解"understand 的 動詞片語, 字面上意思是"使動彈不得" "把...固定住", 也是摔角用語。

out of one's mind -- "瘋狂"crazy 的動詞片語。

curves and edges -- curve原指"曲線 彎曲" , edge則是"邊緣 角" 那我認為這邊是延伸指個性上的"圓滑處" 與"稜角" 

to lay/put one's cards on the table -- 文字直譯是"攤牌"，就是開誠布公的意思，誠實的把想法計劃說出來。
